Current Roles & Responsibilities

• MSc Agriculture (Genetics & Plant Breeding) 36 yrs old (DOB:29.08.1984). He received MSc Agriculture degree from Junagadh Agriculture University, Junagadh,Gujarat (2007-2009). He has >11 years experience in research and development. He worked in “Nirmal Seeds Pvt. Ltd. Jalgaon”as a “Plant Breeder” (2009-2011) then worked “Ajeet Seeds Ltd. Aurangabad” as “Vegetable Breeder” in Cucurbits & Melons (2011-2014). Now working “MACS-ARI, Pune” as Technical Assistant “B” Wheat (2014-till date).
• Planning and conducting of All India coordinated, IIWBR trials, CIMMYT, ICARDA, research station trials, breeding material’s (aestivum, durum, dicoccum), crossing block, Nucleus seed & breeder seed production etc., conducted proper experiments on field in time precisely and obtained good results.
• Selection of promising entries were done on the basis of field observation, phenotypic characteristics (grains) with statistical analysis from augmented trials, APT trials, IPPSN i.e. aestivum, durum, dicoccum (HF&RI) for next year trial promotion for further genetic improvement.
• Experimental trials data recording and data compilation, DUS Characterization of 19 promising wheat varieties,  popular articles/bulletins, research paper, PPVFRA proposal etc.

Gain more scientific knowledge & use in research practically. As per farmer demands developed high yielding and disease resistant wheat varieties from genetic enhancement of wheat materials viz., aestivum, durum & dicoccum.
